Summer project

Aqui vai o meu summer project como prometido ;)

A ideia do projecto era fazer algo relacionado com o pequeno almoço usando fotografia. A única regra era serem 5 fotos em que cada uma delas teria de cumprir diferentes objectivos:

1. Uma "action shot"

2. Relação entre 2 pessoas

3. Um retrato

4. Um enquadramento que forneça informação sobre a localização, ambiente e contexto para a história

5. Close up ou detalhe

Tentei dar um ambiente surreal e mais ilustrativo. Utilizei o Photoshop para o tratamento das fotos.

Here it is my summer project as promised ;)

The idea was to do something related with breakfast using photography. The only "rule" so to speak, was to do 5 photos where each of them had to respect and follow some guidelines :

1. An action shot. Something happening or someone doing something

2. Relationship between subjects such as two or more people interacting

3. A portrait

4. An establishing overall shot to provide location, mood and context for your story

5. A close up or detail

I tried to give them a kind of surreal environment, something that would be more on the illustrative side (maybe because reality gets a little bit boring sometimes xD). I´ve used Photoshop to touch up the photos.

Sexta tive a apresentação do meu summer project que nos foi dado à algum tempo atrás para trazermos no início das aulas...foi do género de uma festa (sim porque os ingleses aproveitam qualquer oportunidade para fazer uma festa xD) no estúdio de fotografia, com bebidas (cerveja incluido) e muffins...as fotos estavam todas coladas na parede, e a ideia era irmos comentando os trabalhos para ir conhecendo o pessoal...no fim os professores fizeram uma selecção de categorias onde iriam nomear um vencedor para cada uma delas...e eu ganhei uma delas, não me lembro foi qual xD e não eu não bebo álcool...foi mesmo esquecimento e nervosismo...de qualquer forma os professores depois distribuíram "prémios" para o pessoal vencedor... alguns ganharam chá, cereais...enfim...algo comestível xD e vinham com uma medalhinha mesmo fofinha mas de plástico xD achei engraçado sobretudo do tom de brincadeira que eles colocaram na exposição, que deu pra aliviar o nervosismo...

On friday I had to present my summer project that was given to us a few time ago, so we could bring it on the first week of classes...the show was party like (well maybe because english people take every opportunity to make parties xD ) in the photo studio, where there were drinks (beer included of course) and muffins...the photos were gluded on the wall and the ideia was to comment the photos with other people so we could meet each other...in the end the teacher made a selection of different categories where they would have to find a winner to each...I won one of them, not sure which because I don´t really remember and I don´t know why xD (no I didn´t drink anything at all...) so it was probably just forgetfulness and nervousness probably...anyways...the teacher gave to each winner some prizes which included tea, cereals...anything eatable really xD and they came with a little cute medal made of plastic xD I really liked how they made the show look and feel so funny and pleasant, which helped to relieve some nervousness...

Este foi o meu almoço de ontem, num restaurante japonês na Chinatown :)
Este prato tipicamente japonês (como é óbvio...) é feito com noodles, miso, vários vegetais, algas, ovo, e pode levar ainda carne ou peixe e mais uns ingredientes desconhecidos xD e a taça é enoooorme literalmente...devia medir entre 25 a 30 cm!
É particularmente conhecido (para quem gosta de anime claro) por ser a comida favorita do Naruto xD
De qualquer forma...o restaurante era muito agradável e o andar de cima era verdadeiramente ao estilo japonês, mas pelos vistos só está aberto ao jantar...mais uma desculpa para lá voltar!


This was my lunch yesterday, in a japanese restaurant in Chinatown :)
This is a typical japanese recipe (well of course...) and it´s made with noodles, different kinds of vegetables, seaweed, egg and if you want it can have meat or fish and some more unknown ingredients xD and the bowl is literally huuge...it should be between 25 and 30 cm!
It is kind of famous because it´s Naruto´s favorite food xD (well you only know this if you like anime, otherwise it is a typical Japanese dish anyway)
Anyways...the restaurant was really lovely and the top floor was truly japanese style, but it was only opened at night...which is just another excuse to came back!

A faculdade é enoooorme...o edifício que aqui aparece é o da entrada principal...no interior ele está ligado a outros edifícios...para além de ter uns 5 andares em cada um dos edifícios (um deles tem três vãos de escadas em cada andar -___-´´)
Mas é muito bonita e eu gosto muito do ambiente e do edifício em si! E as condições também são muito boas claro! Está cheia de materiais, recursos e salas muito boas. Dá mesmo vontade de aproveitar tudo ao máximo =)


My faculty is huuuuge...the building that appears on the photo is the one with the main entrance...internally there are many connections that guide us trough other buildings...in each building there is at least five floors (in one of them there is 3 sets of stairs -____-´´)
Overall it´s very beautiful and I really love that place :) And the conditions are great of course! The faculty is full of different materials, resources and classrooms that I find really great. I really feel enthusiastic and willing to make the most of it =)

The creation of my blog...Finally...:D

Consegui finalmente criar o meu blog!! Peço desculpa pela demora, mas surgiram uma série de factos que não me permitiram fazê-lo mais cedo...de qualquer forma...aqui está ele, para ir postando novidades, fotos e todas as coisinhas interessantes desta minha aventura aqui em Londres :D
Sem mais demoras, vou começar...espero que gostem tanto de partilhar esta minha experiência como eu estou a gostar de viver! ;)


Finally I made it! I created my blog!! I´m sorry for the delay, although I couldn´t help it due to a succession of facts that didn´t allow me to do it sooner... anyways... here it is, I´ll be posting news, photos and anything I find interesting to share about my adventure in London :D
